Chicago Jazz Orchestra: The Piano Soul of Nat King Cole

I’m thrilled to share the stage with acclaimed pianists Kenny Barron and Benny Green and their trios for a special concert dedicated to the piano music of the great Nat King Cole. Better known to the public as a vocalist, Nat Cole was a brilliant and often overlooked jazz pianist, with a nimble touch and buoyant sense of swing. The CJOs Jeff Lindberg has transcribed several charts from Cole’s recordings with various big bands for this concert, and there will be lots of piano trio music as well. Not to be missed!
